Richard Kaiser, a dedicated member of the Brentwood Fire Department in Long Island, NY, and a loving husband and father of four, needs our support. Rick, who has also worked as a mechanic for National Grid for the past six years, recently began experiencing severe pain and swelling in his left foot.

Rick's Journey:

About three weeks ago, Richard noticed significant swelling in his left foot. Concerned, he went to the emergency room for an x-ray, which revealed no breaks or fractures. Advised to rest, he took a week off work, but the swelling and pain persisted. Seeking further medical advice, Richard visited a foot doctor who recommended an MRI. The MRI results indicated torn ligaments and tendons in his foot.

The Path Ahead:

Rick has a crucial appointment with his foot doctor on May 28th, where he will learn if he requires surgery or an extended period of rest. Unfortunately, Richard has exhausted all of his leave time at work. Any additional time off will be unpaid, creating a significant financial strain on his family.
